On February 21, 2017 a public hearing on «Annual Report of Office of Children's Services (2016) and the main 2017 year's plans» at the session hall of the Lviv Regional Council took place. The event was attended by lecturers of the Department of Humanities and Social Work (Associate Professor  L. Kryvachuk, Associate Professor  V. Hrytsanyuk , T. Stopets ) together with the students of the 4th year of study (field of study «Social Work").

 Topical issues of state policy in the field of childhood protection in the Lviv region were raised during the discussion. Protection of different categories of children, family-based care for orphans and children deprived of parental care were regarded. .

 Department of Humanities and Social Work work side by side with  Lviv Regional Office of Children's Services, which makes it possible to bring the educational process to direct social work practice
