Andrii Havrys, Deputy Head of the Department of Civil Protection, and Roman Veselivskyi, Doctoral Student of Lviv State University of Life Safety, have completed another academic mobility within the ERASMUS+ programme to the Fire University in Warsaw, Poland.
During the visit, they delivered a lecture ‘’Specifics of the work of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Wartime‘’ and took part in the scientific conference ‘’Higher Dimension of Security - GIS in Civil Protection‘’ held by the Fire University in cooperation with ESRI Polska. The conference presented the latest research using GIS technologies, including using artificial intelligence tools with unmanned aerial vehicles. The events were conducted in English.
Working meetings were held with the vice-rector of the University of fire service in Warsaw, Tomasz Zwieglinski, ERASMUS+ project coordinators Simon Ptak and Jolanta Niedzwiecka. During these meetings, the prospects for further cooperation between the universities and plans to increase the number of student visits under the ERASMUS+ programme were discussed.
Working meetings were also held with Professor Adam Krasutsky, Dr Viktor Gawronski and Dr Radoslaw Felner on scientific cooperation and implementing international projects between the universities.
