The universal battle Championship of Ukraine among juniors (18-20 years), men and women (light sections and classics) was held on May 19-24 in Brovary. All in all more than one hundred eighty athletes fought for victory.
 
   The 3rd year student from the Institute of Fire-fighting and Industrial Safety of LSU LS, Andriy Suprunyuk, also took part in the competition. Eventually after fierce fighting he won first prize in universal battle (section: classic) in the weight category up to 80 kg.
 
  Universal battle consists of several stages: firstly - passing an obstacle course with shooting and throwing knives, and secondly – two-round or four-round (in semi-finals and finals) duel in the ring by the rules of full contact unarmed combat.
 
   It should be noted that the master of sports Andriy Suprunyuk is a multiple winner of the universal battle championships and cups of Ukraine among juniors and in 2013 even became European champion. Recently in Lviv, he also won the combat sambo championship of Ukraine among juniors in the weight category up to 74 kg.
