On December, 18 not far from the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in the village Yasenytsya (Drohobych district) a memorial monument to Stepan Brodyak, a soldier of 80th separate air mobile brigade, was consecrated.

A soldier was killed on September 5, 2014 near the Schastya town (Lugansk Region) battling against Russian subversive groups

President of Ukraine awarded Stepan Brodyak the Medal "For courage" of III Degree (posthumously).

Today Stepan's brother Vitaliy Batiuk is a 3rd year cadet of Educational and Research Institute of Civil Defenсe.
