Dear applicants

     We invite you to study at the Lviv State University of Life Safety, which is the leading higher educational institution of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Applicants from among persons who are not persons of the rank and file of the bodies and divisions of civil protection of the SES of Ukraine, who have expressed a desire to enter the Lviv State University of Life Safety for a day form of education at the expense of a state order, to apply for the personal file of the candidate for training, personally apply with a written application to the heads of governing bodies and departments of the SES of Ukraine at the place of permanent residence from January 1 to June 1 of the year of entry. Members of the rank and file staff of the bodies and subdivisions of the SES of Ukraine who have expressed a desire to study at the Lviv State University of Life Safety, submit a team report from January 1 to June 1 of the year of entry.

Historical background

     The Lviv State University of Life Safety of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine begins its history with the establishment in 1947 of the Kiev courses of improvement of the officers of the paramilitary fire protection. Nowadays it is a modern educational institution with a strong scientific, educational and material base and glorious traditions, in which highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff educates and educates young specialists for the bodies and units of the SES of Ukraine. During the existence of the educational institution, 81 graduates of full-time and part-time specialists with a total number of about 30 thousand people were graduated. Today, our graduates are worthy of a difficult firefighting service in all regions of the Commonwealth. Among them: 45 generals, our graduates head the majority of regional departments of the SES of Ukraine, 8 people - departments of republics, countries of the former Union, 357 - in other management positions. For the courage and dedication shown in the performance of their official tasks, 11 graduates were awarded with military orders, and 239 - medals for bravery in the fire, 25 of them - twice.

The educational process

     Lviv State University of Life Safety carries out educational activities related to the provision of higher education in 22 educational and professional programs of bachelor's, specialist's and master's degrees in full-time and part-time education. More than 100 modern study rooms contribute to the fruitful mastery of cadets and students of the full range of required professional, socio-economic and humanities disciplines, spacious lecture halls equipped with all necessary for them projection and multimedia equipment, 8 computer classrooms, modern two-tier library 220 seats with 2 e-libraries with Internet connection, software and computer technology center, athletic halls, summer sports and the center, etc. To increase the level of professional training of the firefighter-rescuer, a psychological-training center for the training of firefighters and rescue teams and a computer laboratory for psychological training of the emergency response manager were created at the University, which makes it possible to bring the rescuer closer to the real ones in real life fires and during emergency management. The educational process at the University is provided by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff, including:

• 25 - Doctors of Sciences, Professors;
  108 - Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors.

The University has a scientific-research institute of fire and technogenic safety, educational-scientific institute of civil protection, educational-scientific institute of psychology and social protection, institute of postgraduate education, Higher vocational school of Lviv state university of safety of life (m. Vinnytsia).

Reception of documents

    Civilians and officers of the Civil Protection Service of the SES of Ukraine, who have expressed a desire to study at the Lviv State University of Life Safety under the state order, apply for a personal file of the candidate for training personally by submitting a written application (submit a report to the team) units of the SES of Ukraine at the place of permanent residence (service) and submit the documents specified by the Admission Rules from January 1 to June 1 of the year of entry. Individuals who enter the study at the expense of individuals and legal entities, personally apply with a written statement, specifying the direction of preparation and form of study, to the admissions committee of the University.
