The LSULS volleyball team took the 1st place among 11 teams in the "CUP 2016" organized by the Lviv Regional Organization of Sport Societies. The competitions took place from December, 5 till December, 9 in Lviv.

Total results:

1st place - Lviv State University of Life Safety

2nd place – Main Department of SES of Ukraine in Lviv region

3rd place - Lviv State University of Internal Affairs

On December, 7, 2016 practical extracurricular training for divers was held at Zadorozhne Lake (Mykolayiv District, Lviv Region). It was organized by the Department of Fire Tactics and Rescue Operations together with the Central Rescue Diving Service specialists. Training was performed for students of Educational and Scientific Institute of Fire and Technogenic Safety(4th year of study) with the use of diving equipment and machinery. During the classes the students practiced the exercises of dipping into the water to a depth of 6 m for the search and rescue operation.

On November 30 Interuniversity Scientific and Practical Seminar "It's Time to Live for Ukraine!" took place in Lviv State University of Life Safety. The Seminar, organized by Ukrainian Studies Department, was dedicated to the 160th anniversary of Ivan Franko.

Participants of the Seminar represented our University, Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, the Lviv branch of Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan.

During a meeting with authorities of Ternopil and Terebovlia the issues of further cooperation and technical assistance providing within the specialized civil security class establishment at Terebovlya lyceum were discussed.

The representative of the International Centre for implementation of UNESCO programs Vitaly Semenyuk met with First Vice Rector of the University Myroslav Koval. The promising areas of cooperation in the field of human security and methods of relevant specialists preparation were discussed.

Within Holodomor Remembrance Day cadets and students participated in the national campaign "Light a Candle".

The event was organized by the Students and cadets government council. Everyone had the opportunity to come to the Virgin of Mercy Church and to pray for those who have suffered from genocide against the Ukrainian people. At 4 pm all the participants joined a nationwide minute of silence and lighted symbolic candles.
