In 2016, on March 19, the competition of field-and-track crossing was hold as part of sports day 2015-2016 among units of LSU LS. The competition was organized by Special Rescue Training and Physical Educational Department

In Lviv State University of Life Safety competition in English, German, French and Polish was held among the cadets and students of LSU LS. The participants were cadets and students of the Institute of Psychology and Social Protection, the Institute of Fire and Technical Safety and the Civil Protection Institute.

On March 11, 2016 the Department of Technical Translation at Lviv State University of Life Safety hosted a local workshop within LocJAM contest, which is a non-profit initiative aimed at spreading the word about videogame localization and promote multilingual digital culture.

LocJAM is an online contest for game translators. A short open source game in English is suggested for localization, and both professionals and amateurs can submit their translations.
