February 19, in Warsaw, the first rector of Lviv State University of Life Safety Myroslav Koval and commandant of the Main State School of Fire Service of Poland Rishard Debrove signed an agreement that provides scientific and educational cooperation in organizing projects of academic mobility and joint master's degree programs, and exchanges between our students.
   "The signing of this agreement enhances the leading educational institutions of Ukraine and Poland, working in the field of human security" - said during the meeting Rishard Debrove.

February 18, 2016 in the cultural and educational centre of Lviv State University of Life Safety at the initiative and under the guidance of the Chair of Ukrainian Studies it was held Interuniversity scientific and practical seminar "Language –the border of national security", the International Day of Mother Language and 145th anniversary of Lesia Ukrainka It was attended by teachers, cadets and students of our University, the Academy of the Army named Petro Sagaidachnyi, Ukrainian Academy of Printing, Lviv State

 16-17 February in Kharkiv it was held Olympics in weight lifting among agencies and departments of civil defence of SES of Ukraine which was attended by representatives of the Lviv State University of Life Safety. Lieutenant of civil defence Andrii Gavryliuk who competed in the weight category up to 78 kg and 4th year student of the Institute of fire and technological safety Mykhailo Potsko in the weight category up to 68 kg successfully took an honourable third place.

At the invitation of the Ukrainian community in Munich vocal-instrumental University ensemble - "Flaming heart", consisting of: Colonel civil protection Vasyl Kreshchyshyna, major of civil protection Bohdan Sakharov and captain of civil protection Dyda Uliana took part in the International etnofestival of folk music - "Spring chimes ", held in a large concert hall of the Munich Philharmonic . 

In 2016, research teams from Lviv State University of Life Safety will participate in the new research and innovation program "Horizon 2020", the total budget of which is about 80 billion Euros. As a part of consortiums there were submitted applications for grant for implementation of two major projects in the field of civil security.
