"Support of the system of training of voluntary fire protection and also advanced training of the state rescue services of Ukraine" stage II

As part of the second stage of the project "Support to the training system of voluntary fire protection and training of state rescue services of Ukraine" from 5 to 7 November 2018 on the basis of the training ground of Lviv State University of Life Safety practical training for representatives of SES of Ukraine Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk regions. During the training on the multifunctional simulator of the container type, rescuers had the opportunity to test their readiness to perform the tasks assigned to them during fires indoors with high smoke.

Theoretical and practical training was conducted by scientific and pedagogical (instructors) employees of the Department of Emergency Rescue and Fire Tactics of the University, who took special courses and received certificates at the Main School of State Fire Service in Warsaw.

The project was attended by the leader of the consortium Main School of State Fire Service in Warsaw, project partners: Lviv State University of Life Safety, Main Directorate of the SES in Lviv region, Lviv regional organization of the Voluntary Fire Brigade of Ukraine. The final event of the project was the International Scientific and Practical Conference Fire and Environmental Safety Engineering 2018 (FESE 2018), which took place on November 7, 2018, at the Lviv State University of Life Safety.

The conference was attended by more than 80 scientists and representatives of companies engaged in the production of equipment for rescuers. Leading educational institutions of Ukraine, Poland and Kazakhstan, as well as research and production enterprises of Ukraine and Poland were presented at the conference. 

The purpose of the conference was to discuss various aspects of fire and environmental safety engineering. Plenary sessions and poster sessions of the conference discussed issues of fire, man-made and environmental safety, namely the structure and properties of materials in terms of their fire resistance and environmental impact, modeling of combustion and explosions, modeling of scenarios of emergencies and rescue operations, features of transportation and disposal of hazardous materials, statistical models and methods in the field of life and environment safety, emergency response mechanisms.
