Representatives of Lviv State University of Life Safety took an active part in the 5th International Scientific Conference “Bezpieczeństwo, zarządzanie, medycyna i kultura fizyczna”, in the international dialogue "Together with Ukraine'', which was held remotely on April 11-12, 2022 in Warsaw (Republic Poland).
The event was organized by a number of higher education institutions of the Republic of Poland and Ukraine: Pomeranian Academy (APSL), Krakow Academy of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski (KAAFM), Aviation Military Academy in Dęblin (LAW), Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce (UJK), Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW), University of Szczecin (USZ), University of Technology and Humanities. Kazimierz Pulaski in Radom (UTH), Military University of Technology (WAT), Higher School of Education in Sport in Warsaw (WSEWS),Lviv State University of Life Safety, Khmelnytsky National University, Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Bobersky, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. Ushinsky, Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavlo Tychyna and IT STEP Computer Academy.
The conference had a pronounced interdisciplinary, scientific and practical nature. It was attended by various specialists from a number of universities and experts of the All-Ukrainian public environmental organization "National Ecological Center of Ukraine". In particular, there were representatives of the Dnipro Polytechnic and the National Forestry University of Ukraine.
During the conference there was an active exchange of views on international, national and regional security, the negative effects of military action, management and quality, medicine, physical culture, threat detection and prevention, emergency preparedness and response, specifics of higher education institutions of Ukraine in wartime, solidarity of the international educational, scientific and cultural community with Ukraine, the importance of deepening security and humanitarian cooperation.
A wide range of professional presentations were presented at the conference using Microsoft Teams, accompanied by numerous illustrative materials.
The head of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Civil Defense of the Lviv State University of Life Safety, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V. Popovych delivered a speech at the plenary session.

Topics of scientific reports related to current issues, including ecocide, as a result of hostilities in Ukraine in the period 2014-2022 and the peculiarities of its monitoring by mobile laboratory control, organization of higher education in wartime, the latest personal respiratory protection and vision, assessment of the ecological state of the Sea of Azov, a set of environmental problems generated by the development of coal deposits, prospects for adsorption of heavy metals and phosphates from wastewater using modified clay minerals, the process of bioindication edaphotop landfills of anthropogenic factors on physicochemical indicators of river ecosystem, ecological dangers of subtericone wastewater of Chervonohrad coal basin, content of heavy metals in heaps of Lviv region, content of radionuclides in post-pyrogenic soils of Ukrainian Roztochye, problem of the use of personal protective equipment in the war and post-war periods in Ukraine, reducing the harmful effects of waste on employees and residents, the development of legal aspects of educational and scientific activities in martial law.
The conference highlighted the importance of further international cooperation between higher education institutions of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland in environmental protection, life and human health based on the implementation of the concept of sustainable development, educational and scientific activities in peacetime and martial law, international dialogue in the security, educational, scientific, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
