Two weeks of new experiences: children of University employees in Poland
Due to friendly cooperation with Polish colleagues, the children of LSULS employees had the opportunity to spend two exciting weeks in the city of Bolina (Poland). They visited a lot of interesting places and museums, such as the Church of the Holy Cross of the 11th century and the tomb of Yeremiy Vyshnevetskyi in Nova Slupa, the Museum of Nature and Technology "Ekomusei" named after Jan Pazdur in Strahovice, the Museum of World War II in Skarzysko-Kamienna. They also visited the amusement park "Rope Park - Center for Extreme Sports" in Kielce and got acquainted with the cultural heritage and traditions of our closest Polish neighbours. The children also took part in competitions and contests at the camp. Every day was rich and filled with interesting, diverse, educational events and interactive activities. They returned home with happy emotions and incredible impressions.
We express our gratitude to the Polish organizers of this event for such an initiative and assistance. Special thanks to the chaplain, senior foreman Jan Krynicki, and parish priest of the Roman Catholic parish of Blessed Karolina Kozka (city of Rzeszów, Republic of Poland), because we are convinced that the fire service fraternity has no borders and boundaries.
