Lviv State University of Life Safety held a meeting of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies and second master's level students with stakeholders of the Philology Translation (English language) educational program Volodymyr Kalynovich, director of the group of companies "KARAT", TOV NVP KARAT-BURSERVIS, the chairman of the supervisory board of the Drogobych Professional College of Oil and Gas, Homosh Yuriy, director of the Drogobych Professional College of Oil and Gas, Melko Taras, executive director of "Discovery-drilling Equipment (Ukraine) LLP", Fedyk Ostap - assistant director for scientific activity and external relations of the Drohobych Oil and Gas Professional College. During the meeting, issues of continuing cooperation with stakeholders in several directions were discussed: scientific, methodological and translation. As part of the scientific direction, the English-language version of the collection of scientific works on drilling, completed by masters during translation practice, was approved for publication. As part of methodical cooperation, it was agreed to issue a manual on technical translation. Sofia Chyr thoroughly and professionally presented the glossary of the drilling industry. During the meeting, an additional agreement was concluded regarding master's training in industrial practice on the basis of the Drohobych Oil and Gas Professional College and "Discovery Drilling Equipment (Ukraine) LLC". There was also a tour around the university, an introduction to the material and technical base of LSULS, particularly the simultaneous translation office, and specialized centers of French, German, Polish and English languages.
