On October 5, in the framework of the project "Ecologistics - Improving Solid Waste Landfill Management in Lviv Region", implemented by Lviv State University of Life Safety and the Main School of State Fire Service in Warsaw, participants visited two waste sorting and storage complexes in Warsaw and Plock. The project participants got acquainted with the functions and equipment of enterprises that are designed for mechanical sorting and preparation for the sale of waste, the result of reclamation of the former landfill and the process of forming a new one. There was also a panel discussion on topical issues of Ukraine and Poland related to the issues of sorting, processing, waste storage and ecology within the project. The Polish Aid program is implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and is a tool for cooperation with developing countries. Representatives of the University will have stayed in Poland until October 7.
