LSULS delegation took part in the final planned conference on preparation for conducting international field exercise within the framework of the international project "EURO-MED-REACT"

On May 18-19, 2023, the University delegation led by the first vice-rector, Roman RATUSHNYI, took part in the final planning conference on preparation for conducting international field exercise within the framework of the international project "EURO-MED-REACT", which will be held in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting with the experts of the participating countries (Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia), the tactical concept of future field exercise was worked out. Consultations and discussions were held on the process of activating the EU Civil Protection Mechanism with the Republic of Moldova, which will involve the deployment of operational forces and means of civil protection of Ukraine already as a full member of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism to provide assistance to Moldova in the event of an emergency situation related to the danger of chemical pollution.
Conducting such exercise will contribute to a more in-depth study of the order of cooperation of countries within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, and the identification of difficulties that may arise.
