According to the tactical design of the Field Training Exercises, the European Union, within the framework of the EU Joint Civil Protection Mechanism, at the request of the Republic of Moldova provides immediate assistance for eliminating the emergency consequences connected with the hazardous chemicals emission (leakage). Thus, the international teams from Latvia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine are arriving at the event venue. From the Ukrainian side, the aid (two vehicles) are arriving for elimination of emergency situations connected with CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) threats.
During June 11-15, the team took immediate part in eliminating the emergency connected with a flood, search and rescue activities as a result of a plane crash, in eliminating the consequences of the emergency at a chemical plant with a hazardous emission of chemical substances, in search and rescue and other urgent activities connected with RTA (road traffic accidents), in extinguishing a forest fire.
The Ukrainian team’s participation in the above mentioned Exercises provided an opportunity to establish cooperation and interaction with the European colleagues within the framework of the Joint Civil Protection Mechanism activation.
