The Philology undergraduates took part in the project from the British University

Teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies Nataliia Ivanyshyn, Maryna Kucherenko and Stanislav Koval joined a study conducted by Olha Diakiv, a graduate of the speciality 035 Philology, who continues her studies at the University of Reading (the British University) among first-year cadets and students of Lviv State University of Life Safety. The topic of the study was the analysis of cohesive devices in the academic writing of first-year students of Ukrainian universities. As part of the project,the participants were involved in writing one of the tasks based on the IELTS international test. Academic writing is an extremely important element of language use, the analysis and study of which will improve the professional foreign language training of future civil protection specialists.
