Representatives of the LSULS took part in the CROSSFLOOD project seminar in Tallinn

On September 16–17, 2025, a seminar was held in Tallinn (Estonia) as part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism project “Cross-border training on flood response in post-conflict contexts CROSSFLOOD.”
Lviv State University of Life Safety was represented by:
Roman Konanets- Head of the Department of Fire Tactics and Emergency Rescue Operations, Colonel of the Civil Protection Service;
Oleksandra Pekarska - Lecturer at the Department of Civil Protection, Senior Lieutenant of the Civil Protection Service.
Seminar participants discussed host nation support (HNS) procedures, mechanisms for international aid coordination, and shared their expertise in responding to cross-border emergencies, including floods and radiological, chemical, biological, and nuclear threats.
The event was an important step in preparing rescue teams from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Austria, and Romania for large-scale field exercises planned for 2026 in Romania.
The participation of representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in international events of this level is a significant contribution to the development of civil protection in Ukraine and helps to strengthen cooperation with European partners in the field of emergency prevention and response.
