Scientific and pedagogical staff of LSULS hold seminars at Kingston University (Great Britain)

As part of the implementation of the international project "Erasmus+" at Kingston University (London, Great Britain) from January 23 to 28, 2023, three scientific and pedagogical workers of the Lviv State University of Life Safety are on an academic visit: the head of the department of civil protection and computer modeling of ecogeophysical processes, Ph.D., lieutenant colonel of the Civil Protection Service, associate professor Roman Yakovchuk, associate professor of the Department of Information Technologies and Electronic Communications Systems, Ph.D., associate professor, major of the Civil Protection Service Nazariy Burak and teacher of the Department of Surveillance and Preventive Activities and Fire Automation, lieutenant colonel of the service civil defense Inna Onoshko.

During the week, the members of the delegation conducted classes for students and researchers of the university, as well as seminars highlighting the main achievements in the field of fire safety, civil protection, information technologies and information protection. There was also a meeting with students of LSULS who are studying at Kingston University.

The purpose of the visit is to establish academic and scientific cooperation between the universities and create favorable conditions for the implementation of educational mobility of both students and teachers of both educational institutions.

On January 25, as part of the implementation of the ERASMUS+ project, the following scientific seminar was held for teachers and students of Kingston University (London, Great Britain):
◦ "Information Technologies in Ukraine: analysis of current state in condition of war" (speaker - Nazar Burak);
◦ "Numerical simulation of fire spread on facade heat insulating system using FDS" (speaker - Roman Yakovchuk);
◦ "The impacts of missile attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure" (speaker Inna Onoshko).

The topics of the seminars aroused the interest of the audience. After the reports, there were discussions of the specified problems in terms of global information tension, problems of fire and emergency safety and civil protection, and possible ways of further cooperation.
