Table Top Exercise (TTX) hosted at Lviv State University of Life Safety as part of the international project NET-CBRN-REACT

Within the international project NET-CBRN-REACT "Development of a UCPM Knowledge network between the European Union, European Neighborhood countries and international organizations - NET-CBRN-REACT" TTX was conducted at the University on May 09-10, 2022.
The main objectives of the exercise were:

1. Coordinate templates for training and exercise based on disaster preparedness and response scenarios.

2. Creating online support for experts of the Knowledge Network outside the EU.

2. Testing and application of scenario approach in training and exercise within the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The exercise was opened by the Project Coordinator, President of the ICCSS Board, Ambassador Krzysztof PATUREI, First Vice-Rector of the University Roman RATUSHNYI, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Voluntary Fire Service of Poland, General Bohdan Lesniakewicz and DG ECHO Program Officer Gir ELINGSEN.
Also, as experts from the University were involved Associate Professor LAZARENKO Olexandr and Associate Professor LOYIK Vasyl to develop and conduct the exercise on the topic "Accident at a chemical plant/oil depot caused by a military attack".

The NET-CBRN-REACT project brings together partners from Eastern Europe and the Middle East to implement the UCPM Knowledge Network.

NET-CBRN-REACT project exercise will help strengthen cooperation in disaster response between specialists in civil protection, crisis management, humanitarian and international organizations.

The main project outcomes include the exchange of experience in civil protection and disaster risk management between EU members and neighbouring countries, and the collection of common best practices for the prevention, preparedness and response to CBRN outside the EU.
