University cadets completed training at the Fire University of Warsaw within the ERASMUS+ programme
Within the ERASMUS+ programme, the cadets of Lviv State University of Life Safety, Andrian Petrenko and Denys Kapustynskyi, completed their semester studies at the Fire University in Warsaw.
As part of academic mobility, the university cadets studied a number of professionally oriented courses and took part in various trainings. They gained the relevant knowledge and experience of NATO countries in organising safe working conditions for rescue units and providing medical care, calculated smoke zones, studied communication systems in Poland, etc. In their spare time, the cadets visited the museum of the volunteer fire and rescue unit.
‘It was an incredibly interesting experience to study here in the capital of Poland. During this time, we have made many new friends, learnt more about the habits of our neighbours and, of course, improved our language skills. I am extremely grateful for the chance to compare our education system with its European peers and for the chance to broaden my horizons,’ said Andrian Petrenko, a participant of the programme.
