THE UNIVERSITY DEVELOPS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

On July 19, 2022, a delegation from Finland visited the Lviv State University of Life Safety in which were Vaasa University Rector- Dr. Yari Kuusisto, an expert and evaluator of European Commission projects - Dr. Andre Samberg, and an associate professor of the Ecology Department of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", Dr. Olena Maslyukivska .
During the visit, the guests were informed about the educational process of our institution, and the rector, Dr. Jari Kuusisto, presented information about the University of Vaasa. The parties discussed the prospects of establishing further cooperation within the framework of the implementation of joint international projects, conducting research on security management and crisis management, using satellite data and GIS technologies to provide environmental safety and extinguishing forest fires, joint countermeasures against cyber attacks on critical infrastructure facilities. The guests also visited and learned about the capabilities of the university's crisis management center, educational and scientific center for modeling a safe future, rescue work laboratories and fire protection systems.
