University’s representatives completed their participation in the International American Ukrainian Conference “Ukraine: Calculus for Democracy” in the city of Lublin (Poland)

The second day of the International American Ukrainian Conference “Ukraine: Calculus for Democracy”, which is held in the city of Lublin (Poland), was characterized by the agile debate concerning the war and political situation in Ukraine and worldwide. American students as well as Ukrainian cadets and students discussed a range of burning issues regarding safe educational environment, russia’s armed aggression, the impact of hostilities on educational activities, the issues of humanitarian missions, the aid to refugees.

The research results were represented by Karina Sandyha “Wars impact: life-changing”, Dmytro Matviiv “The first days of russian invasion in Ukraine”, Dmytro Babych “Bucha: A year after the massacre”, Mykola Panasiuk “Mariupol before and during the war”, Ihor Babii “The consequences of blowing the Kakhovka HPP”.

The President of the Echo Foundation Stephanie Ansaldo highlighted the broad awareness of the Ukrainian participants of the conference regarding democratic values in the contemporary world.
Acting Vice-Rector, Professor Vasyl Popovych and Researcher Danyil Behen acknowledged the high organization level of the conference and expressed gratitude towards the Echo Foundation and its President Stephanie Ansaldo for the invitation and the opportunity to represent the research results of the young scholars of Lviv State University of Life Safety. The parties agreed on the terms of further bilateral cooperation and organization of international events.
