University’s scholars at the international conference in Lublin

Professor Vasyl Popovych, Researcher Danyil Behen as well as 10 cadets and students of the University have commenced their work at the International American Ukrainian conference “Ukraine: Calculus for Democracy” in the city of Lublin (Poland).

The conference is conducted within the framework of the international fund The Echo Foundation and its educational project “Ukraine: Calculus for Democracy. Round-table discussions are created for American and Ukrainian higher education students to exchange opinions on the impact of the War in Ukraine on the democracy development, educational processes and scientific activity. The President of the Echo Foundation Stephanie Ansaldo and acting Vice-Rector of the University for research Vasyl Popovych addressed the participants of the conference with their opening speech.
The results of the research were represented by the cadets and students of the University at the conference, namely, Vitalii Syrovyi «The influence of the war on the education system in Ukraine», Bohdan Ilkiv «The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in conditions of war», Nazar Zhuravel «Refugees in Ukraine as a result of the war», Sofiia Zmysla «Warʼs impact on the national consciousness of Ukrainians» and Olesia Prus «How russia is destroying Ukrainian culture».

It should be indicated, that online meetings of the higher education graduates from the USA and Ukraine were held prior to the conference.
For reference: The Echo Foundation was created in 1997 by Nobel Peace Laureate Elie WIESEL and educator and therapist Stephanie ANSALDO to honor human dignity, justice and moral courage that are driving positive action for humankind.
