The University launched joint fire and tactical exercise to extinguish fires in ecosystems

Taking into account the urgency of the problem of forest fires (combustion in ecosystems), which are
characterized by a large area of ​​occupancy and require significant involvement of human resources and fire
and rescue equipment, the Lviv State University of Life Safety and Ukrainian National Forestry University
conducts joint fire and tactical exercises on the extinguishing of forest fires , which will last for 2 days.
The purpose of the exercises is to practice the interaction between the employees of the State Forest Guard
and the fire and rescue units of the State emergency service of Ukraine on the elimination of the emergency
situation associated with the fire in the forest.
The training consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The latter will be held on the basis of the Stradch
Training and Production Forestry Plant NLTU of Ukraine.
The main task of the joint fire and tactical exercises is to consolidate the acquired theoretical knowledge on
the forest fire suppression by the employees of the State Forest Protection Department with the involvement
of the personnel and technology of the fire and rescue service of the UNFU in practice, as well as
demonstration of possible methods of extinguishing (manual, hand tool and special equipment) extinguishing
of forest fires; verification of the readiness of forces and means of DLO and State emergency service of
Ukraine for intended actions in case of forest fires, working out of interaction and order of involving the
subdivisions for extinguishing forest fires.
