Save the forest together: masters and graduates stopped the fire

On the second day of joint fire and tactical exercise of the Lviv State University of Life Safety and National
Forestry University there was a practical examination of the interaction of services, forces and means
during fires in ecosystems based on the Stradch Training and Production Complex of UNFU. According to
the plan of the exercise, a fire in the forest happened due to careless actions of holidaymakers who were
not able to extinguish the fire that they made. The flames were seen by forestry workers who called the
forces and means of the forest fire station, with the help of technology mineralized strip was set to prevent
the spread of fire to a large area. Realizing that the fire can not be eliminated by the forces of forestry, the
forestman called the units of the Emergency Service of Ukraine, which successfully extinguished the fire. In
the role of employees, according to the introduction, were the masters and bachelors of Lviv State
University of Life Safety, the leading institution of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"Such measures are an integral part of the educational process of our University," said vice rector of Lviv
State University of Life Safety, Dmytro Chalyi, for the interview with journalists, because during such
exercises, cadets who will shortly become qualified rescuers in State Emergency Service of Ukraine units,
will be able to support their theoretical knowledge by practical actions in conditions close to real, which is
a guarantee of professionalism of every graduate of Lviv State University of Life Safety ".
