Representatives of 5 countries visited Lviv state university of life safety conducting project "EU-CHEM-REACT 2"

The University hosted first planned conference in a project called "Improvement measures for prevention, readiness and response to chemical and natural disasters that are simultaneously experienced by the participating countries, through a series of exercise, for verification and strengthening national capacities, using the complex mechanism of civil protection and international cooperation ".
The event was attended by representatives of five countries: the Republic of Poland, represented by the president of the International Center for Chemical Safety and Security, Krzysztof Paturae, the Lithuanian Deputy Director of the Association of Fire Safety Rescuers Vugandas Kurkulis, from the Czech Republic there was the Director of the Department of Fire Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Roman Bili, Belarus was represented by the Head of the Department of the State University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Tikhonov, and from the delegation of the Republic of Moldova Head of the Chemical and Radiological Protection Department of the Directorate General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Moldova, Colonel Sergio Juneau.
During the meeting with the rector of the University, Professor Myroslav Koval, conference participants discussed methods of conducting table top exercise, criteria for their assessment and significance for the countries which are participants of the project.
The event takes place with the financial support of the European Commission, namely the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Missions.
Three main activities are planned in the schedule of the project,including theoretical studies in the Republic of Belarus, table top exercise in Moldova, and full-scale three-day field exercise involving forces means of participating countries. This events provides a great experience for both scientific and pedagogical workers as well as for students of our University.
