In addition to the scientific work provided for by the individual plan, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department perform other types of work on a public basis. Associate Professor Chmir O.Y. has been responsible for testing for a long time at the university. Associate Professor Kusiy M.I. is the head of pre-university training courses.</div>
Cultural events, entertainment:
By the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, the headquarters opened a new room, which contained various evidences of the world's largest man-made disaster.
Scientific research work:
The department carries out research work. The team of mechanics checked the assessment of the strength of the load-bearing elements of the emergency rescue device "Trinig" taking into account the static and dynamic loads, provided the legs support at different levels. This device is currently used for emergency rescue work by the training fire and rescue unit of the University. Two contractual topics were fulfilled (Bodnar G.Y., Olkhovy I.M., Dzyuba L.F.). Adjuncts and Masters under the guidance of Bodnar G.Y., Tatsiya R.M., Kuzika A.D., Dziubi L.F. carry out scientific research. The results of the scientific works of the pedagogical staff of the department were reported at numerous international scientific conferences published in professional journals. Results of scientific activity of Professor Tatsiy R. and Associate Professor Stasiuk M. summarized in the monograph "Generalized differential equations", in addition, in co-authorship with Mahney O. Professor Tatsiy R. published in 2012 a monograph "Singular quasi-differential operators at finite interval".
Information for entrants:
Mathematics entrance test program
for admission to the first course of study for obtaining a bachelor's degree qualification based on a complete general secondary education
The purpose of the entrance test in mathematics is to assess the degree of preparedness of students in mathematics for the purpose of competitive selection for study at the Lviv State University of Life Safety.
Tasks of the entrance test in mathematics is to evaluate the knowledge and skills of entrants:
§ perform mathematical calculations (perform actions with numbers given in different forms, actions with percentages, add and solve problems in proportions, approximate calculations, etc.);
§ perform expression transformations (understand the meaning value of each element of the expression, find valid values of the variables, find the numerical values of the expressions at given values of the variables, etc.);
§ to build and analyze graphs of the simplest functional dependencies, to study their properties;
§ to solve equations, uncertainties and their systems;
§ find the number of characteristics of geometric shapes (lengths, sizes of whales, areas, volumes);
§ solve the simplest combinatorial problems and calculate the probabilities of random events;
§ analyze information presented in graphical, tabular, textual and other forms.
