Science students and cadets:

Lecturers of the department actively involve cadets and students in scientific work. A scientific society of cadets and students (headed by Assoc. Prof. Karabin OO) is created and operates at the department, whose members participate in scientific conferences and competitions. The results of their work are published in national and foreign editions.
The students and students under the direction of the teachers of the department participate in the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads.

Since 2012, the Department organizes a conference of cadets and students "Mathematics that surrounds us: past, present, future", which involves students and students of both our university and students of other higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

In addition to the scientific work provided for by the individual plan, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department perform other types of work on a public basis. Associate Professor Chmir O.Y. has been responsible for testing for a long time at the university. Associate Professor Kusiy M.I. is the head of pre-university training courses.

Cultural events, entertainment:

On September 13, 2013, within the framework of the XX International Book Publishers Forum in Lviv, the participants of the theater group of LSU LS took part in the presentation of Ruslan Horovy's book "Gagarin and Barcelona" with the theatrical production of individual parts under the direction of the lecturer of the Department of Ukrainian Studies. The author of the book is the organizer and the leader of the well-known project “Searching for Children”.

On September 24, 2014, students and cadets of the Transport Technologies training course at Lviv State University of Life Safety visited a permanent fire-fighting exhibition located at the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region.

The excursion begins in the hall of the history of firefighting in Galicia and Western Ukrainian lands. The large number of photographs, documents and exhibits made a great impression on the visitors.

In the next hall, students and cadets will be introduced to the main causes of fires and emergencies, the means and methods of their elimination, methods of prevention.
By the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, the headquarters opened a new room, which contained various evidences of the world's largest man-made disaster.

October 16, 2014 students and cadets of the Transport Technologies course of Lviv State University of Life Safety as part of raising the level of knowledge about the cultural heritage of Poland, as well as its history and contemporary social problems, watched the movie "Heart in the Palm" starring with a Ukrainian actor theater and cinema, winner of the B. Shevchenko Prize B. Stupka at the Third Polish Film Festival for the Promotion of Polish Art in Lviv.

The specifics of the films of this film festival is that the Ukrainian viewer can listen to Polish, which is used in everyday life. And these films are accompanied by professional subtitles in Ukrainian.

February 25, 2015 students and cadets of the Transport Technologies training course together with curators Pasnak IV and Chmir O.Y. visited the only museum of disease history in Ukraine, Department of Pathanatomy, Lviv National Medical University. Danylo Halytsky.

The museum was opened in 1896, and the first head of the department of pathotomy, Andrzej Obzhut, brought it from Prague.
Today, part of this room is occupied by shelves with exhibits or, in other words, large test tubes with human organs, body parts and unborn children.

March 18, 2015 students and cadets of the Transport Technologies training course together with curators Pasnak IV and Chmir O.Yu. visited the Museum of Ethnography and Crafts, which is a structural unit of the Institute of Ethnology of the NAS of Ukraine. Its stock collections total about 100,000 storage units. The Museum of Ethnography and Artistic Craft of the Institute of Ethnology of NAS of Ukraine (MHPP) is a rich treasure trove of monuments of traditional Ukrainian folk culture and folk art, as well as samples of decorative and applied art of many peoples of the world.

April 2, 2015 students and cadets of the Transport Technologies training course together with the curator Chmyr O.Yu. visited the first and only brewery museum in Ukraine in Lviv. The museum, which consists of five exhibition halls, features an exclusive collection of various exhibits, among which you can see ancient beer bottles embossed with branded glass; antique beer mugs from different European countries and made in different styles; beer barrels, advertising products, recipe books of the late 19th century; The legendary traditions of making amber drink at Lviv Brewery are covered in detail. Today, Lviv Brewery is the oldest brewer in Ukraine.

May 17 - Remembrance Day for Victims of Political Repression. May 14, 2015 students and cadets of the Transport Technologies training course together with curators Pasnak IV and Chmir O.Yu. decided to visit the National Museum-Memorial of the Victims of Occupation Regimes "Prison on Lutsk."

The prison, which served various occupation regimes (Polish, German, Soviet) and is a symbol of the gravity of the Ukrainian struggle for independence. What happened in prison is the epitome of crimes against humanity that cannot be forgotten. The prison reflects the relationship between the tragedy of Western Ukraine and the rest of Ukraine during the repression of occupation regimes, and the tragedies of other peoples and countries that came under totalitarian regimes.

The memorial, as a site of collective memory of the tragedy surrounding the massacre of people who resisted (or suspected) resistance to the occupation regimes, is a historical monument. This object lost its ill-fated original purpose of being a prison and at the same time revealed the counter-intuitive idea of human resistance to occupation regimes. The museum communicates this idea in two key slogans "Never again!" And "For the sake of freedom!"

March 17, 2016 students and cadets of the Transport Technologies and Fire Safety training courses together with curators Pasnak IV and Chmir O.Yu. visited the Museum of History of the Hetman's Academy named after Peter Sahaidachny. The museum, consisting of nine halls, covers the history of military education in Galicia and the development of the Hetman Peter Sahaidachny Academy of Land Forces.
The exposition is full of rare photographs, awards, uniforms of cadets, generals and officers, weapons of different periods, personal belongings belonging to the graduates.

The museum also mentions alumni who have given their lives for the peace in Ukraine and who should be remembered by each of us.

The International Cooperation Hall features exhibits highlighting the international relations of the Land Forces Academy. Hetman Peter Sagaydachny with military educational institutions of Europe, Asia, America, Canada.

Scientific research work:

The department carries out research work. The team of mechanics checked the assessment of the strength of the load-bearing elements of the emergency rescue device "Trinig" taking into account the static and dynamic loads, provided the legs support at different levels. This device is currently used for emergency rescue work by the training fire and rescue unit of the University. Two contractual topics were fulfilled (Bodnar G.Y., Olkhovy I.M., Dzyuba L.F.). Adjuncts and Masters under the guidance of Bodnar G.Y., Tatsiya R.M., Kuzika A.D., Dziubi L.F. carry out scientific research. The results of the scientific works of the pedagogical staff of the department were reported at numerous international scientific conferences published in professional journals. Results of scientific activity of Professor Tatsiy R.M. and Associate Professor Stasiuk M.F. summarized in the monograph "Generalized differential equations", in addition, in co-authorship with Mahney O.V., Professor Tatsiy R.M. published in 2012 a monograph "Singular quasi-differential operators at finite interval".
