A well-known kobza player Vasyl Nechepa visited Lviv State University of Life Safety
On November 7 in Lviv State University of Life Safety there was a recital dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko. The kobzar-lyricist from Chernigiv, laureate of the National Shevchenko Prize, People's Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Nechepa visited the university and gave the cadets an unforgettable concert. Owing to musical compositions performed with the kobza, those who were present felt strength and depth of Shevchenko’s words.
None kobza player had ever had such great glory as Vasyl Nechepa had. This man has done so much for his native Ukraine, talking about it around the world and continuing its traditions, that books can be written about him. Vasyl Nechepa is the only representative of Chernigiv kobza old-school, which is said to be the oldest one in Ukraine. There are also other services: he is an honorary colonel of Chigirinsk Cossack Regiment and laureate of Nechui-Levytskyi State Prize.
