The university honors the Heroes of "Heaven’s Hundred"
February 28 educational process and working day in Lviv State University of Life Safety began with a memorial service at Church of intercession of the Holy Virgin for the peace of the dead activists of Euromaidan in Kyiv.
University personnel, students and cadets joined the communal prayer. They came with candles and lamp to commemorate Heroes of “Hundred`s Heaven” who died for the freedom of Ukraine. In prayer the senior priest of the church, Father Roman Velykyj, mentioned all of those who at the cost of their lives fought for every Ukrainian to have a better life. At the end of the office was heard mournful song "Floating pump ...", to the strains of which some of presents could’t hold back tears of sorrow. Heroes do not die ...
Lviv State University expresses its sympathy with the families of fallen heroes. For their support the staff of the university initiated fund raising, in particular, more than 60 thousand hryvnias were transmitted through a charity TV marathon "Heaven’s hundred" conducted by "Channel 5".
