Public Lecture Held on Anti-corruption Legislation
On May 28 Maryana Kupchak, a senior lecturer from the department of law and management in civil defense, delivered a public lecture on "Legislation on Preventing and Combating Corruption."
The aim of the session was to introduce cadets and students to the key provisions of law on preventing and combating corruption and the norms of ethical conduct of persons authorized to perform the functions of the state.
The lecturer emphasized the fact that the level of corruption in society indicates its morality and development rate, as well as political, economic and social status of the state in general. Combating corruption, thus, is vitally important for further development of the country. This issue is also essential for social progress, normal life and for prevention of other challenges and threats. The problem is significant both in theoretical and practical aspects, and applies to all areas of human activity, including agencies and departments State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
