Cadets and Students Come to Know Franko

Every spring people in Lviv commemorate Ivan Franko. This year, the Zankovets’ka Theatre dedicated two plays to Ivan Franko: “Karta Lyubovi” (The Love Card) and “Bozhevilna” (Crazy).
 
Recently two groups of cadets and students from all departments watched these plays and discovered new Franko, who turned out to be not only an Eternal Revolutionary, famous writer, but also the person who had various twists and turns in his personal life, which undoubtedly influenced his works.
 
Students and cadets were touched by the destiny of women who had played an important role in writer’s life - Olha Roshkevych (his first love) and Olha Horuzhyns’ka (wife).
 

The strong desire of students and cadets to read Ivan Franko’s poetry again, especially the cycle of intimate poems "Withered Leaves" only means that the plays were worth watching.
