Lviv State University of Life Safety in cooperation with local authorities teaches people the basics of safe behavior

Scholars and cadets of the Lviv State University of Life Safety joined the informational and practical security center of the city, which began its work on the 12 of September. It is situated in the city center near the City Hall.
Anton Kruk, a spokesman of the institution of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said that their expert sand students will provide consultations for people on emergency prevention, and the basics of life safety, first aid, they will teach how to act during a fires, at the exposure of explosive objects and threats of terrorist attacks. The center will be opened from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. without breaks and weekends.
As part of the Information and Safety Center of city, the citizens and visitors were demonstrated firefighting and rescue equipment and educational and social lectures about human security was conducted. Rescuers talked about functions of firefighting and rescue equipment.
"The culture of safe behavior should be cultivated from the childhood. That is why experts and cadets of Lviv State University of Life Safety often take care of children’s safety. They conduct interesting and informative lessons for pupils, demonstrate educational films and episodes from the work of rescuers; familiarize them with firefighting and rescue equipment, teach how to act properly in emergencies and educate the legal grounds of life safety. They emphasize that human security depends primarily on one’s personal actions, physical and psychological features, and most importantly-experience and skills. In  complex such work will equip children with basic knowledge of life safety, minimize deaths and injuries during a real emergencies. The practical part will help to adapt psychologically to actions to be taken in extreme conditions, "- said A. Kruk.
