Lviv State University of Life Safety Cadets Accept«Ice Bucket Challenge» (Video)
On September, 22 more than 200 cadets and students of Lviv State University of Life Safety joined the charity event known as «Ice Bucket Challenge». Participants lined up and created the shapes of coat of arms of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service and the University motto «Viribus Unitis» (strength in unity). The university accepted a challenge from Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Heroes of Chernobyl and challenged the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, National University of Civil Defense and Vinnytsya higher professional vocational school. The participants of charity event donated money the army and became blood donors for the wounded soldiers who were in the ATO zone. Ice Bucket Challenge is a charity campaign. The activity involves dumping a bucket of ice water on someone's head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research. A flashmob gained popularity in social networks on August 2014. It has become popular in the last decade of August in Ukraine. The purpose of flash mob in Ukraine is to raise money for Ukrainian army, to treat cancer patients or for another charity.
