Cadets And Students Scientific and Practical Seminar “Warlike Woman in History Mirror” Takes Place at University
On 23rd of October the cadets and students scientific and practical seminar “The Warlike Woman In History Mirror” took place.
The introductory speech was delivered the by senior lecturer of Ukrainian studies department, O.M. Shelyuh. Two reports were delivered: “Beauty and fortitude of women in military history of Ukraine”(N. Lukash, CP-51) and “Olena Stepaniv – the woman with a warrior heart”(N. Slobodyanyk, OS-11). Besides, the guests of the seminar had an opportunity to watch the film about legendary Olena Stepaniv, the ensign of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen. The artistic part of the seminar lied in the reciting of poems about the courage, beauty and fortitude of the woman. In particular the wonderful lines from the folk song about Olena Stepaniv was performed by Svitlana Novosad (OS-11) were heard.
During discussion, where mainly female cadets took part (future “warlike women”) the main words were that Ukrainian women are not only the most beautiful and sensible in the world but also courageous and strong. From ancient times till today they have been demonstrating the daring and social consciousness. They fought for freedom and independence of the Matherland alongside the men.
