The University holds first International Scientific Conference "Information security in today's society."
On the 21-22 of November 2014 the "Information Security Management" Department held and International Scientific Conference "Information security in today's society."
The conference brought together leading experts and researchers in the field of information security from 6 countries: UK, Spain, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine. The conference reviewed 29 papers on the following topics: information security management, security, information and communication technology, technical information security, security of banking technologies.
Organizing Committees were conducted by Deputy Head of Department Ph.D., Associate Professor A.E. Lagoon, Ph.D., associate professor Kuharska N.P.
Plenary speakers were Head of the Institute of Civil Protection, Colonel of Civil Protection Renkas A.G., Director of the Western educational center of information security, the head of information security department at National University "Lviv Polytechnic", Professor V.B. Dudykevych ., Professor of Software department at National University "Lviv Polytechnic" Professor Hrytsiuk Yu. , head of information security management department at Lviv State University of life safety, Professor Smotyi V.V.
Teachers of the department, as well as cadets and students of the University of Life Safety were actively engaged in sessions.
