Students and Academic Staff of LSU LS Meet Well-known Politician and Philanthropist, R. Novozhenets

Famous politician, public figure, President of the Charity fund, Rostislav Novozhenets, visited our University. He joined the meeting with academic staff, students and cadets of the institution.
Honorable guest dwelled upon interesting facts from the history of Ukraine and told a little bit about his Charity Fund.
It should be noted that R.Novozhenets is the author of the book "Love and Hate" as well as the compiler of the book "Statutory instruments on the use of Ukrainian as the state language ".
The charitable fund "Ukraine-Rus’" was created in May 2008 by a group of deputies of the Lviv Regional Council, historians, scientists and public figures to provide charitable assistance for the revival of the Ukrainian nation and  study of the history of Ukraine. The primary goals of the Fund is to promote Ukrainianization of all spheres of social life a swell as the development of history studies; to assist victims of ethnic cleansing, persecution, deportation. The Foundation contributes to the maintenance, development and revival of the Ukrainian language, culture, customs, and traditions and protects the rights of the Ukrainians.
He also spoke about the completed projects. The fund sold more than 20 publishing projects, including the
Ukrainian historical calendar that contains a list of 600 dates related to outstanding personalities or events in the Ukrainian history. 44% of these are days of birth and death of political, military and government figures, beacons of culture, art and science. It was released in December 2010.
