Planning Conference for the Joint International Exercise SES NATO-UKRAINE-2015 Continues in Lviv

​On May 20 at the Lviv State University of life Safety they continued to work on the planning conference of the joint International Exercise of State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Euro-Atlantic Coordination Centre to respond to civil emergencies in the aftermath of emergencies, UKRAINE-2015.
The event was held as a plenary session. During the meeting, participants discussed the main scenario, schedule of the exercise, presented instructions for conducting training and discussed time of arrival of teams to participate.
During the dialogue with journalists Hryhoriy Marchenko said: "During the discussions we have planned joint exercises, where Ukrainian rescuers side-by-side with their foreign counterparts will respond to emergency situation in the real world. I am very pleased with the work of the conference. Preparing for the exercises is a difficult and time-consuming process.  I am sure that we will succeed. "

He added that participation in exercises planned to attract about 600 rescue workers and 200 vehicles from 30 countries.
"We thank the representatives of Ukraine for the invitation to participate in exercises. This is the third time we have been cooperating with Ukrainian colleagues.  And now we are happy to come back, "- said Gunter Bretshnayder. - "Some member states have already declared their teams will participate in training, and in support of other participants, we hope as soon as possible. These teams will work together with the Ukrainian rescuers, despite the difference in language, training and standards. " 

In the afternoon, there was a meeting of the working groups: the main working group, subgroup USAR, subgroups on medicine, radiation, chemical and biological protection, sub Coordination Center of operations on the ground, on the media and on safety.
