The Solemnities of the Day of Knowledge at Lviv State University of Life Safety

​The solemnities of the Day of Knowledge were held at Lviv State University of Life Safety. The first deputy of the head of SSES of Ukraine Oleg Melnychutskyi, the first deputy of the head of Lviv Regional State Administration Rostyslav Zamlynskyi, the rector of the university Mykhailo Koziar, the chief of MD SSES OF Ukraine in Lviv region Sergii Dmytrovskyi, educational staff  and cadets’ parents took part in the occasion.
This year more than 1 thousand students and cadets entered the university. They represent almost all regions of Ukraine. Many of them continue their family occupation.
Oleg Melnychutskyi on behalf of the head of SSES of Ukraine Mykola Chychotkin congratulated the staff of the educational establishment: ”In this difficult time for our state you have chosen the profession to protect security and peace of our people because there is nothing more valuable than life. Today there is fight not only for independence of our country but for peace in the whole world. And it has direct connection with you as you have chosen the profession of rescuers who are brave and courageous who are ready to defend everybody who needs help. I believe that you will do all tasks that you are going to face in the nearest future. Peace and safety of the whole nation depend on you.”
The rector of Lviv State University of Life Safety thanked the first-year students for their choice to study at the Lviv State University of Life Safety.
“Nowadays the state service of emergencies work in hard situations, do difficult tasks in the regions of ATO. Today’s realia dictate us new approaches to work in the sphere of civil defense, training experts and scientists. Nowadays we are creating a new dynamic model of the teaching process which is directed on scientific development and education mainly based on practical activities. We also should be able to carry out the tasks which are to be fulfilled by SSES of Ukraine”, said Mykhailo Kozyar to the first-year students.
On behalf of Lviv leaders deputy chief of Lviv Regional State Administration Rostyslav Zamlynskyi congratulated the cadets and students: “Having entered this higher educational establishment you chose not only an education or profession but a style of living. Your mission is to save lives as there is nothing more important than life. I wish you were happy, healthy and wealthy!
After giving oath to the Civil Protection units and pledging allegiance to the Ukrainian people the cadets were given a symbolic “student’s ticket” and a key to “the country of knowledge” by Mykhailo Kozyar. A priest blessed the first-year students.
Yong people are going to study at different departments directed to human safety: “Fire Safety”, “Practical Psychology”, “Administrative Management of Information Security”, “Ecology and Environmental Protection”, “Civil Defense”, “Occupational Safety”, “Transportation and Transport Management”, “ Organization and Regulation of Traffic”, “Information Security Management”,  “Transport Technologies”,  “Social Work”,  “Philology”(English-Ukrainian translation).
