Cadets of Lviv State University of Life Safety gave oath to the Ukrainian people
On 17 September on Emergency Rescuer’s Day 165 cadets of the Lviv State University of Life Safety gave oath to the Civil Protection units and pledged allegiance to the Ukrainian people. There are 15 girls among them. Also 33 graduators of Lyceum of Civil Defense gave oath.
The event was attended by the chairman of Lviv Regional State Administration Petro Kolodii, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi, the deputy chairman of Lviv Regional State Administration Rostyslav Zamlynskyi, other representatives of authority and publical organisations, international delegations and cadets’ parents. The rector of the university Mykhailo Koziar greeted the first-year students:”In this difficult time for our state you have chosen the profession to protect security and peace of our people because there is nothing more valuable than life. Today there is fight not only for independence of our country but for peace in the whole world. And it has direct connection with you as you have chosen the profession of rescuers who are brave and courageous who are ready to defend everybody who needs help. I believe that you will do all tasks that you are going to face in the nearest future”. The rector invited everybody to honour with a minute of silence everybody who died for our country. The first-year students got greeting from the Head of SSES of Ukraine Mykola Chechotkin. Lviv. Sokal Metropolitan Dymytrii blessed the cadets. This year representatives from almost all regions of Ukraine entered the university. Many of them continue their family occupation. After that all staff of Lviv State University of Life Safety walked solemnly in front of the audience.
