The staff of the University Took Part in Events of Celebration of the Feast of Intercession of the Holy Virgin (VIDEO)

​October 14, Lviv State University of Life Safety marks the 68 anniversary of its founding. This day coincides with a grand celebration of the of the Feast of Intercession of the Holy Virgin, which was and remains the defenders’ guardian, the guardian of people whose lives are dedicated to serving people and Motherland.  Nice to know that this festival is a celebration of our patronal church. Also on this day solemn events took place dedicated to the Day of Defender of Ukraine, Ukrainian Cozacks’ Day and the Day of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
"The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin is now a center of spiritual life. On Sundays and public holidays worship is held, involving not only cadets and students, but also everybody who just wishes to come "- said the senior priest of the church Roman Velykyi.
Traditionally, on this day all the staff of the institution came to the festive Divine Liturgy. Church Pastor Father Roman Velykyi with other priests invited to the celebration, sent a prayer. Then there was the Great Blessing of Water and procession. After this administration and holiday guests laid flowers to the monument of Heroes-rescuers who died in the line of duty.
