Ukrainian and Polish Rescuers Discussed the Urgent Issues of Safety Management on Water (VIDEO)

October 15 under the project "Safe water - improvement of the local authorities and emergency services as a respond to the risks associated with water resources in the Lviv region" the International scientific and practical conference "Management safety on the water" took place at Lviv State University of Life Safety.

The representatives of Lviv State University of Life Safety and Warsaw Main Fire Service School of Poland, UkrRICP and MD SSES of Lviv Region and Lviv City Council took part in it.

During the opening ceremony the vice-rector of LSU LS of research work Taras Rak highlighted the cooperation between rescue departments and educational establishments of Ukraine and Poland: "We constantly feel the support of our Polish colleagues, and that modern equipment that we receive through our cooperation helps us to train our staff to eliminate a variety of emergencies. Our long cooperation is the key to Ukrainian and Polish security. "

The project is implemented by Lviv State University of Life Safety and Warsaw Main School of Fire Service as the part of the program «Polska pomoc» and is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. The participants discussed the features of city-level civil defense system of preventing emergencies on water, environmental security, cooperation of local governments and non-governmental organizations in the field of water safety, especially the crisis management liquidation of emergency situations under uncertainty and risk, and more.
