As a Result of Cooperation of Basic Educational Rescue Departments of Ukraine and Poland LNU LS Received a Modern Rescue Eequipment (VIDEO)
There was a presentation of modern rescue equipment, which Lviv State University of Life Safety received under the project "Safe Water – an improvement of local authorities and emergency services as a respond to the risks associated with water resources in the Lviv region."
This large-scale international project was implemented by Lviv State University of Life Safety and Warsaw Main School of Fire Service as a part of the program «Polska pomoc» and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. As a part of the project there were held workshops, conferences and practical trainings at the educational establishments of fire and rescue departments of Ukraine and Poland.
E transfer protocol was signed by the rector of Lviv State University of Life Safety Mykhailo Kozyar and the representative of the Warsaw Main State Fire Service School in Poland Professor Jerzy Telyak.
In particular, as envisaged by project the part of the equipment Lviv State University of Life Safety gives to Lviv Central Diving Rescue Service. This equipment will be used in the educational process to gain practical skills of rescuing on water.
Mykhailo Kozyar expressed confidence that the project will be useful to enhance safety on water objects of Ukraine and Poland: "We have implemented many joint projects related to safety of people. It is possible to learn to work together in a variety of emergency situations across the border. This cooperation managed to involve our colleagues in local offices and schools of SSES of Ukraine. A significant number of the most modern fire-rescue clothing and equipment that is used in the learning process and during emergency response was received due to this cooperation."
