Scientific Seminars of the Department of Foreign Languages and Technical Translation were Held at the University

Three universities, two interuniversity research meetings, seminars and nationwide webinar were held during October 2015 at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Technical Translation. At the session of the seminar "Theory and practice of art and military-technical translation" lecturer of foreign languages ​​and technical translation Olexandra Myronchuk told about the peculiarities of interpretation in Disaster Medicine and Associate Professor Iryna Drobit gave helpful tips on overcoming linguistic and psychological difficulties in the translation field conditions. Reports demonstrated the examples of joint exercises of SSES of Ukraine and NATO "Ukraine-2015". Session "Scientific and methodical seminar of teachers of foreign languages ​​and translation of higher education in Ukraine" concerned the Ukrainian implementation of European experience in testing proficiency in foreign languages ​​and the use peculiarities of rating evaluation of students of non-linguistic specialties of higher educational establishments. The speakers were Oksana Duchak, representative of ESTU (English Centre of Testing in Ukraine) and associate professor Natalia Rak. This year's second session of the webinar "Distance and combined studies in Ukraine and abroad" was devoted to the development of the educational environment Collaborator for corporations and prospects of creation of Ukrainian electronic educational system.  Ph.D., associate professor of Vinnytsia National Technical University Myroslav Batsula and a representative of one of Lviv IT companies Yuri Svirsky took part in the webinar. Junior scientific assistants of the department Iryna Popko, Liubov Maniuk  and Tetiana Struk reported on their findings the three university seminars.
