The Scientists Discuss the Topical Issues of Environmental Safety in Lviv State University of Life Safety (VIDEO)

Today, November 4 the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ecological safety as the basis of sustainable development. European experience and prospects" started at the Lviv State University of Life Safety.
In the preparation of the conference took part: Lviv State University of Life Safety; Lviv Regional State Administration; Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration; Volyn Regional State Administration; Foundation "European Centre for Environment"; International Charitable Organization "Environment-People-Law"; Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
More than 300 people from nine countries participated in the conference.
The program of the conference provides plenary sessions, working in 6 sections, excursions.
The conference will examine the following issues: Environmental imperatives of sustainable development; Theoretical questions of environmental safety; Privacy Protected Areas, bioindication of pollution; Environmental and technological safety of natural and industrial projects, new environmental technologies; Energy thrift and environmental safety of transport; Environmental Ecology and environmental security in the border areas of the EU; Geoecology, ekogeophysics, geochemistry technogenesis, reclamation of disturbed areas; Application of GIS in environmental security, simulation hazardous processes and phenomena in the environment, evaluate environmental risks; Managerial, legal and economic aspects of environmental safety, environmental monitoring, management and auditing.
At the plenary meeting the first report was made by the Head of "Radioecology" Kingston University, Dr. Alan Flowers, which was devoted to the consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe in Eastern Europe.
At the conference the company "Clubproject" presented ecological cars.
Ecological cars or "green" cars –automobiles have less negative environmental impact than conventional cars with internal combustion engines running on gasoline or diesel fuel.
They have the complete absence of harmful emissions. Energy use in electric cars is up to five times more efficient than conventional engines. Electric cars are completely safe for the environment, what is its definite plus.
