The Most Topical Issues of Environmental Safety and Sustainable Development were Discussed at Lviv State University of Life Safety

At Lviv State University of Life Safety within II International Scientific Conference "Environmental safety as the basis of sustainable development. European experience and prospects " it was discussed the most topical issues of environmental security and sustainable development. The international conference successfully worked in plenary sessions and six sections:
SECTION 1.
Environmental imperatives of sustainable development. Global and regional environmental threats and solutions
SECTION 2.
Environmental safety of natural areas, bioindication and Biotechnology
SECTION 3.
Environmental and technological safety of disturbed areas and objects. Civil protection and prevention of disasters
SECTION 4.
Modern technologies in the service environment. International cooperation in the border areas
SECTION 5.
Energy thrift and environmental security of transport
SECTION 6.
Administrative, legal and educational aspects of sustainable development.

Representatives of nine countries, namely Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Iraq, Jordan, Armenia, England, Czech Republic, Moldova, agreed to participate in the conference.  At the plenary and breakout sessions there were heated debates on issues of environmental safety of Ukrainian regions, Ukrainian environmental legislation adaptation to EU requirements, and the prospects of implementing environmentally-oriented innovation projects. At the final plenary meeting, Professor Alan Flowers (Kingston University, UK) summed up the main results of plenary and breakout sessions, and thanked the organizers of the conference, namely Lviv State University of Life Safety, Lviv Regional State Administration, Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Volyn Regional State Administration, Foundation "European Centre for Environment", International Charitable Organization "Environment-People-Law" Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce. Vasyl Karabyn, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, thanked the sponsors of the conference: showroom "Club project," company "Former First Ukraine", Lviv City UO "Center for Business Development," restaurant "Robert Doms", TM "Viennese coffee", TM " Cultivating Life ".
As a result of the event there were published the materials of II International Scientific Conference "Environmental safety as the basis of sustainable development. European experience and prospects ", containing 191 thesis papers.
III International scientific-practical conference "Ecological safety as the basis of sustainable development. European experience and prospects " is scheduled for 2018.
