The University Hosted an International Conference of Cadets and Students "Culture as a Phenomenon of the Human Spirit (Diversity and Scientific Understanding)" (VIDEO)

November 19 at Lviv State University of Life Safety to the International Conference of cadets and students "Culture as a phenomenon of the human spirit (diversity and scientific understanding)" arrived cadets and students from 16 educational establishments of Ukraine and 6 foreign countries.
     "Culture expands internal immensity of a man" - wrote the Ukrainian philosopher Serhii Krymskyi, and nowadays this is especially true for modern people, as never before, we have high spiritual needs and that is why. In times of social upheaval spiritual base of people is an active conductor of good that is opposed to evil - it is proved by all previous human experience. Today our country is experiencing, in fact, similar tests which, unfortunately, are accompanied by considerable sacrifices. To paraphrase a famous saying, we say that in this time, "muses are not silent" - they actively serve their artistic voice in defence of goodness, justice, love and humanity - in fact, those categories when it comes to man and sphere of his life and work.
The cadets and students’ conference, held at our University, proved that our young people are not indifferent and interesting multifaceted topics that affect different spheres of life - these are the titles of the sections, which are grouped according to participants’ performances: "The unity of East and West: the sociocultural dimension", "Ukrainian national cultural component of world civilization," "Metropolitan Andrei – the Mose of Ukrainian nation "," Famous women in the history," "War through the prism of culture", "The phenomenon of language, cultural and philological aspects", "Socio psychological factors of culture creation", "Ethical and aesthetic culture", "Information space as a modern form of existence of culture." The spiritual core of the conference is, undoubtedly, a section dedicated to Metropolitan Andrei, the spiritual father of our nation, in its 150-year anniversary, because in times of turmoil we are turning to those who are the salt of the earth of our nation and its infallible guides.
     At the time, Pavlo Grabowskyi addressed all Ukrainian with an appeal: "Let us be Europeans on European soil!"  This conference proves that our young people "are learning foreign, and don’t forget about native."  We also have participants from nine foreign countries (there are 6): Angola, Burkina-Faso, the Republic of China, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Croatia, Spain, Italy, France, Russian Federation, and Australia, who presents the artefacts of their national culture.
     Scales of good and evil in different periods of human development is inclined to one or the other side. The globalization challenges of the XXI century is extremely powerful and sometimes spiritually destructive and see them in Ukraine dominance, hopefully temporary, in not desirable for our way. Actually, culture is an extremely influential factor, it can and must persuade these scales irrevocably toward Good. Our outstanding ancestor Volodymyr Monomakh in the famous "Instructions for Children", and which now should be for us a moral imperative, said: "Go away from evil, do good, seek peace and follow it, and live for ever.” We see that our young people tend to go the way of the good and the truth, which is the key to the Ukrainian future.
