The Victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 were commemorated in Lviv State University of Life Safety (VIDEO)

Commemorating the memory of innocent victims of repression 1932-1933 a cultural and educational centre of Lviv State University of Life Safety held a literary and artistic requiem in memory of victims of Holodomor "Do not let extinguish the candle of memory", with the participation of creative groups of the University. The event was attended by cadets, students and teaching staff.
As part of the Day of Holodomor victims cadets and students took part in the national campaign "Light a Candle".
The event was organized by the Cadet and Students’ Council of LSU LS. Also, everybody had the opportunity to come to St. Mary's Church, located on campus and pray for those who died or suffered as a result of mass genocide against the Ukrainian people. At 16.00 pm all participants joined a nationwide minute of silence and lit candles.
Celebrating the 82nd anniversary of the Holodomor other mourning activities were held at the university, namely: Lesson memory "Famine killed our freedom"; Meeting of the art multimedia lecture hall "Bread guillotine"; the all-minute silence and the presentation of icon-lamps in the form of a cross; the view of documentary film "Holodomor. Forgotten Genocide ".
Honouring the innocent victims is the minimum that we, Ukrainians, can do. We do that not only for the millions of victims, but rather for the sake of our children, who should always remember of those terrible times and do everything for that not to repeat ever again.
