The Department of Foreign Languages and Technical Translation held Scientific Seminars

During November 2015 at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Technical Translation it was held two inter-university seminars and webinar. At the session of the seminar "Theory and practice of military art and Technical Translation" it was discussed the optimization of the educational process and training of translators. Specialist localization translation of the full cycle "Language Centre" Oksana Tkach in her speech emphasized the importance of applied skills in students and their motivation for self-development and self-education. Student group ET 41 of Lviv State University of Life Safety Halyna Vasyltsiv noted that an important role in the educational training of plays practice in translation companies. Both speakers talked about their first steps in professional writing and interpreting at the university. Session "Scientific methodological seminar of teachers of foreign languages ​​and translation of higher education in Ukraine" was devoted to the analysis of “Across Cultures” teaching methods and for future foreign language interpreters. The Associate Professor of German Philology Eastern National University of Lesia Ukrainian, Candidate of Philology Oksana Bielykh (c. Lutsk) was performed in video mode, described the selection and supply of geographic information in the study of German. The associate professor of foreign languages ​​and technical translation of LSU LS the Candidate of Philology Iryna Drobit revealed the principles of development of objectives for the formation of background knowledge of future translators. During the meeting, webinar "Distance and combined studies in Ukraine and abroad" discussed the specifics of pedagogical support of students in the distance education system of Britain, which said the associate professor of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport Tetiana Pylayeva  (c. Kharkiv). The report of a senior lecturer of FL ta TT Iryna Popko concerned the features of specialized control system of distance education.
