As a Part of an International Project, the University Received Advanced Life Saving Equipment and Combat Clothing
As a part of a large-scale international project Lviv State University of Life Safety got modern fire fighting and rescue equipment and clothing.
The project is held by Lviv State University of Life Safety within the program «Polska pomoc» and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. Within the project it was already held workshops, conferences and practical training. A significant practical and financial assistance in its implementation is provided by leading Polish company «EGERIA», which specializes in the manufacture of fire safety equipment and various simulators for fire. As a part of this project with cadets and students of the university it was held a course of lectures relating to issues of extinguishing fires in enclosed spaces. They also raised their professional skills, practicing procedures on special fire fighting simulator ML 2000, which is equipped with modern computer-controlled modelling and is able to simulate a fire close to real. The next stage of the project will be special sessions of the basics of life safety with Lviv school students.
Mykhailo Kozyar expressed confidence that the project would be useful for enhancing security in the residential sector "We have implemented many joint projects related to safety of people. It is possible to learn to work together in a variety of emergency situations across the border. This cooperation managed to involve our colleagues from local units and educational establishments of SSES of Ukraine. Through this cooperation it was received a significant number of the most modern fire rescue clothing and equipment that is used in the learning process and during the elimination of emergency situations."
