The University held a Charity Event "Children's Dreams" to St. Nicholas Day

For several years Lviv State University of Life Safety conducts charitable action "Children's dreams." Its main goal is to help the needy children to St. Nicholas Day  and experience the true joy of celebration and warmth, and popularize the ancient Ukrainian tradition.
This year traditionally cadets, students and university staff joined the action and collected charitable donations to purchase holiday gifts and congratulate orphans left without parental care.
December 12 representatives of RK and SS together with the students of the University of  Lviv State College of Culture and Arts under the guidance of Oksana Zvarych visited an orphanage "Cherry" in the village Zhovtantsi Kamenka-Buzkyi district, Lviv region and the first Lviv municipal orphanage. They prepared a concert for kids, a variety of games, quizzes and competitions, and gave all the gifts of sweets, toys and stationery. Children invited our volunteers to visit them again. Overall this day "assistants" of St. Nicholas brought joy to the hearts of about 100 children who were all year looking forward to this miraculous celebration and hopefully believe in miracles that will change for the better their future.

"After such a meeting bright smiles on the faces of these kids can nobody leave indifferent. I am convinced that our compassion will help them feel the joy of the holiday, keep their faith in the goodness of human hearts ", - said Igor Kordiyaka the university employee.
